Recyclr Group Ltd

Recruitment privacy notice

How we use information you send through our careers page. Future-job registrations are separate from applications for an advertised role.

Who is responsible

Recyclr Group Ltd is the data controller. Company number 17201596. Registered office: 18 Avon Walk, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG21 4DJ, England. Contact info@recyclrgroup.co.uk with questions, to update your information or exercise your rights.

What we collect

We collect your name, email address, optional phone number and the job role you are interested in. A phone number is required if you choose text messages. For an advertised job, we also record the vacancy and any message you submit. Please do not include your National Insurance number, bank details, identity documents or sensitive personal information in these forms.

For future-job registrations, we record your separate email and text choices, the wording and version of the notice shown, the submission time and the expiry date. Our services also process limited technical information, such as network addresses and security logs, to protect the website from abuse.

What we use it for

For a job application, we use your details to consider you for that role and contact you about your application. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering an employment contract. We use legitimate interests to protect the service from abuse and manage recruitment securely.

For future jobs, we rely on your consent. Our recruitment team may contact you about opportunities matching the role you describe, only using the channels you tick. Both boxes start unticked. Registration is voluntary, does not guarantee work and has no effect on applications. We do not use it for unrelated sales marketing or sell your details.

Withdrawal and changes

You can withdraw a future-job registration at any time using the private withdrawal link shown after registration, or by emailing us. Keep that link private because it permits removal of that registration. If you want to correct your details or change contact preferences, email us; we may need to verify your identity. Withdrawing does not affect earlier lawful processing or a separate job application.

How long we keep it

Future-job registrations expire 365 days after submission, approximately 12 months. Expired registrations are removed automatically by our retention service. You can withdraw earlier. Submitting the same registration again does not extend its expiry. Limited security logs and backup copies may remain until their normal secure rotation; they are not used to contact you.

Applications and later employment records have separate purposes and retention rules. See our employee and applicant privacy notice. Contact us for the retention period applying to a particular application.

Access, service providers and security

Information is stored in our Recruitment system and is accessible to authorised recruitment staff and administrators who need it for their work. IT, hosting and communications providers may process it on our behalf to provide those services. We may disclose information where law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We use access restrictions, encrypted connections and security controls. Some service providers may process information outside the UK; where applicable, appropriate lawful transfer arrangements and safeguards are required. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards applying to your data.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time. Recruitment decisions are reviewed by people; this form does not make automated hiring decisions. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
